Compost bag maker gets investment

  Frank LaRocque, a veteran executive in the Canadian Film Industry has made an investment in AL-PACK Enterprises Ltd., a blown film manufacturer in Moncton New Brunswick. Frank will join the company as President and owner Louis LeBlanc will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer. Frank has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and has provided years of technical and innovative support to various clients in the industry. The timing is just right as AL-PACK continues to grow, being recognized an industry leader in the Compostable Bag sector among others. AL-PACK is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015.

Metro firms join N.B. trade mission to Florida

  Representatives from five Metro Moncton companies will go to Florida later this month on a trade mission with the hopes of increasing exports to the United States. The Team Canada Atlantic Mission will visit Orlando, Tampa and Miami from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2. In total 13 New Brunswick companies are taking part in the trip.
